- Holds the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO)
- “You can’t achieve success without your team,” Artiom Lisovskij
Leading Position In Only 4 Months
Before joining Venipak, Artiom Lisovskij worked in logistics and did not expect the new job to offer a great team and a fast-growing career.
“My career in Venipak started in 2017. Initially, I worked as a night transport coordinator and received an offer to become a logistics manager after four months. Last September I became the Chief Operating Officer. The role of the COO means a great deal of responsibility for me but it also comes with new challenges when going forward each day. I am glad that the company trusts me,” shared Artiom.
Biggest Challenge—Pandemic
One of Artiom’s main responsibilities is to solve the company’s biggest challenges.
“The first quarantine was the main test for us—it was unexpected and nobody was prepared for it. The number of parcels doubled. Previously we saw such quantities only around Christmas, and we had always prepared three months in advance. The quarantine forced us to make decisions on the spot,” added Artiom.
While this period caused a lot of chaos, it further proved that Artiom’s team are true professionals, who joined forces to endure the uncertainty brought by the coronavirus.
“Once again, I saw that there are a lot of creative and professional people in the team. In my opinion, we dealt with COVID-19 challenges very well and remained stable, as well as reliable,” asserted the COO.
According to Artiom, there are always challenges in logistics and the teams have to adapt. However, it is easy to predict which problems the company will face in the near future.
“Among the future challenges in logistics, there will be a shortage of manpower. This will lead to more automation and search for new technological solutions. Another important challenge we can already expect is ecology. The ability of companies to carry out their activities not only taking into account the economic and social factors, but also the environmental protection is becoming increasingly important,” commented Artiom.
Improving with Company
Artiom monitored the company’s development for four years, focusing on quality and improving the customer experience.
“The focus on customers and their needs has led Venipak to a significant quality improvement. The customers’ surveys, Net Promoter Score (NPS) and other quality metrics show that we chose the correct path. Our team constantly monitors the market and invests in solutions that will meet our customer needs.”
While working at Venipak, Artiom is constantly improving his own personal skills, which help him to achieve the company’s goals.
“Everyone needs to grow and improve. That is why I never stop observing business news and trends related to parcels and technology. Logistics is an ever-changing field and the experience in the company has taught us to make quick but appreciated decisions,” maintained Artiom.
Importance of Motivating Others
According to Artiom, there are always high-potential employees in the company, so mentoring and support are very important for professional growth.
“We have a lot of professionals who can make great decisions, but it is crucial to help them grow steadily. Mentoring and more responsibility help to do that. This way, we show that we trust the employees and contribute to their professional development. We always welcome those, who are not afraid of challenges and want to find a place where they can realize their ideas and potential,” said Artiom.
Artiom believes that a team with a united vision can achieve the highest goals. That is why he is always determined to improve himself and help others do it.
