From 1 August 2026, the standard package weight limit for courier and parcel locker shipments in Lithuania will change to 25 kg.*
This change is related to changes in Lithuanian legal and employee safety requirements concerning the manual handling of loads.
In Latvia and Estonia, the standard package weight limit remains unchanged at 30 kg.
What does this mean for you?
- For shipments in Latvia and Estonia, the 30 kg standard package weight limit remains unchanged.
For courier shipments within Lithuania, to Lithuania or from Lithuania, packages over 25 kg may still be shipped, but delivery to the recipient’s door will require the additional 4 hands service. - If the 4 hands service has not been ordered, the shipment will be handed over to the recipient at the courier’s vehicle. If the recipient cannot or refuses to accept the shipment at the vehicle, the shipment will be returned to the sender, and both the delivery and return services will be charged.
- For parcel locker shipments in Lithuania, one package may weigh up to 25 kg. Heavier parcel locker shipments will be returned to the sender as non-compliant with shipment transportation rules.
- If the shipment is handed over on a pallet, it will be delivered to the nearest location accessible by loading equipment. The 4 hands service does not apply to palletized shipments.
To ensure smooth delivery, we recommend checking the weight of shipments sent to Lithuania or from Lithuania in advance.
As before, the sender is responsible for loading the shipment into the courier’s vehicle.
