During the pandemic and due to its successful transformation, Venipak Group was able to grow rapidly the Group’s revenue. According to the preliminary data, the Group’s 2021 H1 sales were about 25 million euros, an annual increase of about 40%. With investments in innovative fulfillment services, the company also wants to bring more Estonian and Baltic e-traders closer to the European market.
According to Justas Šablinskas, CEO of Venipak, one of the most important steps in strengthening the business and private customer experience today is to invest in the development of fulfilment services. “For example, the main task of a fulfillment center is to manage and maintain inventory in e-shops, send orders directly to customers and / or retailers, and help sellers manage all this vital but often complex operation. Instead of transporting the packages from the store to the customers, the parcel transport company can store the stocks of the e-store, pack them and deliver them to the customers directly,” said Šablinskas.
These types of services offer the opportunity to significantly speed up the transport of goods and improve the overall customer experience. However, the fulfillment service is not limited only by the warehouse space, as finding and preparing the goods for shipment quickly and smoothly also poses significant challenges. Therefore, Venipak is optimizing existing warehouses and investing an additional 1.5 million euros to implement state-of-the-art automation processes. These improvements will allow the company to serve up to 50% more e-commerce customers in the same warehouse area faster and with better quality.
This year, Venipak will invest 3 million euros in the Baltic parcel network
The company also intends to significantly expand the range of services available to e-commerce customers in Poland. “The Warsaw service warehouse will also enable Baltic e-traders to bring their business closer to the wider European market. Due to the growing popularity of e-commerce and customers’ desire to receive goods as close to home as possible, Venipak will invest an additional 3 million euros in the development of the Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian parcel network this year,” added Šablinskas.
Venipak intends to manage a network of almost 2,000 terminals and pickup points and to become one of the largest parcel pickup networks in the Baltics within the next few years. Venipak plans to invest more than EUR 6 million in this infrastructure.
At the same time, the company is increasing the range of other services. At the beginning of this spring, Venipak launched an improved e-commerce parcel service and a brand new air transport service.
Venipak forecasts an increase in parcel deliveries of about 30% this year. Market analysts predict further growth in the e-commerce market and continued interest in online shopping, which is why the parcel company expects rapid growth in the retail segment.
