International parcel delivery company Venipak will invest €200,000 in Estonia, to open two new parcel sorting terminals in Türi and Viljandi. Terminals will be operational next year and for the expansion, Venipak will hire 50 people at both locations.
Last year, the company opened a new sorting terminal in Jõhvi with an investment of €100,000. Venipak, which this week introduced a new visual identity, will increase the capacity of the Tallinn terminal too.
“E-commerce is clearly challenging the traditional trade and the expansion in Estonia is aimed at strengthening Venipak’s position in the parcel delivery market. In addition to increasing the sorting terminal capacity in Estonia, Venipak will introduce a network of 150 parcel lockers in Estonia, starting from 2022,” said Justas Šablinskas, CEO of Venipak.
Šablinskas added that for faster and more voluminous global deliveries, last week Venipak opened air freight connection between Riga and Hong Kong, which means that the Estonian customers in international trade will benefit from this too.
According to Šablinskas, the company’s rebranding and bright new colors will express that the Venipak will remain professional, brave and dynamic. Venipak’s fleet and staff will be in new company colors in coming months.
In the Baltics, Venipak intends to manage a network of almost 2,000 terminals and pickup points and to become one of the largest parcel pickup networks in the Baltics within the next few years. Venipak plans to invest more than €6m in this infrastructure. At the same time, the company is increasing the range of other services. At the beginning of this spring, Venipak launched an improved e-commerce parcel service and a brand new air transport service.
Venipak forecasts an increase in parcel deliveries of about 30% this year. Market analysts predict further growth in the e-commerce market and continued interest in online shopping, which is why the parcel company expects rapid growth in the retail segment.
Venipak Group’s 2021 H1 sales were about 25 million euros, an annual increase of about 40%.
