Overview of the client

The Wurth company group is a global leader in production and sale of assembly and fastening products, offering high-quality professional tools, personal protection equipment, and chemical products. It consists of over 400 companies and has more than 79 000 employees in more than 30 countries. In Lithuania, Wurth has more than 30 retail stores and a 5000 m² logistics center.

Problem

The company services a wide range of professionals and has to meet a high standard of their needs: to provide everything the client needs early in the morning, at the very beginning of the working day. The same high standards apply to partners working with Wurth: orders must be fulfilled before starting work time. Wurth has a very specific requirement for their logistics partners to make it possible: deliver orders to their stores before 7 in the morning.

Solution

Venipak was the only parcel delivery service in Lithuania that could offer Wurth precisely what the client needed, even though it was not a part of the standard Venipak service model. After discussing the needs of Wurth, both partners developed a plan of overnight delivery to stores appointed by the client. Thus, Wurth employees find ordered packages at the beginning of the working day and may pass them to their clients, providing a competitive advantage.

Result

After a trial service period, Wurth decided to move all the parcel delivery needs from another logistics partner to Venipak. Wurth made this decision due to Venipak’s ability to provide overnight delivery and integrate Venipak parcel ordering and monitoring software into Wurth systems, thus reducing the possibility of human error and further improving logistics of company products all across Lithuania.
