Ahead of summer, people often buy seasonal goods in online shops, from gardening supplies to swimming pools. But according to Tetyana Fromzel, shopping manager at Frog.ee, an online shop celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, this year’s biggest seller was an ice cream machine.
Tetyana noted that electronics have been one of the most popular product groups among Frog.ee customers over the years. “Apple products – phones, headphones and chargers – have always been popular among our customers. In addition, there is a constant demand for home appliances. For example, people order cleaning and maintenance products as well as kitchen appliances. In recent years, the trend has changed due to advertising on the one hand, and market developments on the other, and we have seen an increased interest in smart home devices and eco-products,” highlights the Frog.ee purchasing manager.
Tetyana added that there is usually a high demand for seasonal products before the summer. “This year, however, the Ninja ice cream maker had record pre-summer sales and was a real hit among our customers.”
E-commerce is influenced by the season and promotions, but also by delivery.
According to Tetyana, the busiest sales season at Frog.ee is the pre-Christmas period, when people prepare gifts for family and friends. “In addition to seasonal factors, advertising, promotions and special offers also have a significant impact on customer activity,” Tetyana added.
The speed and quality of delivery is no less important. “Over time, we have noticed an increase in customer demands for speed and quality of delivery. When choosing a delivery method, customers attach great importance to the speed promised and the security of goods transport. Reliability, speed and quality of service are the factors we take into account when choosing a delivery partner. It is important that the partner is able to guarantee the safety of the goods and to offer customers flexible delivery conditions,” said Tetyana.
She added that a significant amount of goods ordered from Frog.ee are shipped via Venipak. “About a third of our shipments are delivered via Venipak, either to parcel machines or by courier. Venipak’s strengths are fast delivery, reliability, flexibility and the ability to adapt to our needs and those of our customers,” Tetyana highlighted.
Martten Kaldvee, Head of Sales at Venipak Estonia, added that Venipak always focuses on the interests of its partners and thus tries to contribute to their growth. “We always listen to the needs of our partners and help to find solutions that will enable them to grow and expand. We have developed a very good synergy and a trustworthy relationship with Frog.ee, which once again confirms the quality of our service,” said Kaldvee.
The economic downturn has led to a search for discounts and cheaper ways of delivery
According to Tetyana Fromzel, the economic downturn has had an impact on customers’ purchasing behaviour. “People are increasingly looking for discounted products and cheaper delivery methods. For us, this means a variety of promotions and special offers to enable customers to shop at lower prices,” said Tetyana.
Kaldvee adds that Venipak also tries to offer its customers the best possible delivery prices. “Even though we offer one of the best delivery prices on the market, we do not compromise on quality,” Kaldvee stressed.
