When the new e-commerce brand Atedaktare.lt entered the market five years ago, at the height of the pandemic, its name raised more than a few eyebrows. Yet the words, which roughly translate as “Goodbye, Doctor”, were not an attack on the healthcare system. Quite the opposite: the company’s mission was to help healthcare professionals improve their patients’ health so they could say goodbye to feeling unwell.
Today, the company is growing successfully, challenging misconceptions about how dietary supplements are absorbed by the body and confidently setting its sights on Scandinavia. How did a controversial name become a business success story in just five years?
From communication lessons to capturing a market trend
Karolis Basevičius, one of the founders of Atedaktare.lt, says launching a business during the second year of the pandemic was a bold move. It also brought several valuable communication lessons before the market fully understood the company’s philosophy.
“The name of our online store came from our desire to help healthcare professionals improve their patients’ health so that they could say goodbye to feeling unwell and, ultimately, goodbye to doctors too. We wanted medical professionals to have some respite from their heavy workloads. At first, the controversial name taught us several communication lessons. We had to make it clear that we were not against healthcare professionals. On the contrary, we see ourselves as part of the same team,” says Basevičius.
According to him, the company’s biggest growth driver has been its ability to offer the right solutions at a time when society’s approach to health and wellbeing has fundamentally changed.
“In recent years, people have become much more conscious of their health, particularly since the pandemic made them realise that feeling well cannot be taken for granted, regardless of age. I believe we successfully tapped into this trend, and our products provide a valuable tool for supporting better health,” says Basevičius.
The power of biophysics: what won customers over?
The real turning point came when customers experienced the effectiveness of the products for themselves. Their benefits are based on biochemical principles.
“We are now moving forward with confidence, and our growth is driven by the effectiveness of our products. We are the only company offering Trace supplements, which are particularly well absorbed by the body due to their electrical charge,” Basevičius explains.
Ionic sea minerals became the online store’s undisputed bestseller, helping the company establish a strong and stable position in the market.
“Our biggest online bestseller is the ‘Concentrace 72+’ ionic sea mineral supplement. Its biochemical properties make it a truly distinctive product, as it can be easily absorbed by the body’s cells. Its natural composition and highly bioavailable form have made it a favourite among health-conscious customers,” says Atedaktare.lt co-founder Karolis Basevičius.

Fast delivery also strengthens customer loyalty
Basevičius says that customers value more than the product itself. The entire shopping experience matters, from secure packaging to a wide range of convenient delivery options. To ensure the highest possible level of customer satisfaction, the Atedaktare.lt team has entrusted its logistics to a reliable partner from the very first day of operations.
“Today’s e-commerce customers value product quality, secure packaging, fast delivery and convenience above all. To meet these expectations, we offer various loyalty programmes, free consultations by phone and a 24-hour delivery commitment, which our logistics partner Venipak helps us fulfil. We chose Venipak from the very beginning because it is a Lithuanian-owned company and we believe in supporting Lithuanian businesses. We are delighted that both we and our customers remain fully satisfied with the value and quality of the services,” says the founder of Atedaktare.lt.
According to him, although customers appreciate having a range of delivery options, service quality is usually what ultimately determines their choice and overall satisfaction.
“Customers find it very important to be able to choose the parcel locker that suits them best, which is why we try to offer as wide a choice of carriers as possible. Even so, we see that most customers choose Venipak specifically because of its strong value for money. Logistics makes a major contribution to business growth. When parcels reach customers quickly and smoothly, it creates a positive experience that encourages them to return,” Basevičius emphasises.
The road ahead: automation and expansion into Scandinavia
Looking to the future, the company has no intention of slowing down. It has already set out clear priorities for its development over the next two to three years, with a strong focus on technological progress and innovative wellness solutions.
“In two to three years, we see our business operating not only across the Baltic states but also in Scandinavia. We will focus on automating our processes and reducing the need for manual work, making the entire operational chain more efficient. We are also planning to introduce several world-class innovations in dietary supplements to the market in the near future,” says Atedaktare.lt co-founder Karolis Basevičius.
