With the arrival of the New Year, many of us have made New Year’s resolutions—to start exercising or a healthy diet, read more or resume old hobbies. Special gear is often required to achieve our goals, so with the lockdown still in place e-businesses and parcel delivery service providers have not yet had time to rest after the holidays.
“It’s mid-January already, but our circumstances remain the same. Although the shops are still closed, this does not stop people from implementing their New Year’s resolutions. It is no secret that the holiday season for e-businesses and parcel delivery service providers has been extremely stressful, but the work has not stopped and neither did the parcel traffic.”

So, let’s review 3 ways of parcel delivery by Venipak, which will allow you to get on with your New Year’s resolutions.
Couriers – the modern heroes
The recent year of pandemic has revealed the professions without which we would find it difficult to survive. It is no secret that the courier is one such indispensable profession during these uncertain times and the media is full of words of gratitude to couriers.
Venipak couriers deliver parcels to customers not only during working hours. The needs of those who find it more convenient to receive parcels after working hours (18:00–22:00) or even on Saturdays are also being met. So, customers waiting for a new set of dumbbells or a cookbook for a healthy diet will receive an SMS message a day before the delivery by the courier.
With the help of Venipak, people tired of being locked inside four walls during the pandemic can boldly embrace changes. Those who have embarked on home remodelling or bought a new bed or a laundry machine can choose services of two couriers (“four hands”) who will safely bring the delivered item to your home.
“Couriers always adapt quickly to changing situations. Since the beginning of the pandemic, each of them has been wearing masks and gloves, regularly disinfecting their work tools and providing contactless delivery services using a PIN code. We continuously aim to provide top quality customer services, therefore this year we will introduce another innovation—the opportunity for each parcel recipient to directly evaluate the work of the courier. It is an important step for us in order to further focus on improving the quality of delivery and customer experience.”

The network of parcel terminals continues to expand
Last year we established a new partnership with the Lithuanian Post, which opened up much wider opportunities for parcel deliveries during the pandemic. Today e-businesses and customers can choose a convenient parcel delivery point from almost 300 LP express parcel terminals located throughout Lithuania.
And there is more to it! Last year we had more good news for you. One of them was the first Venipak contactless parcel terminals in Lithuania. Parcels can be collected from such terminals without touching the terminal screen. At the end of January, contactless parcel terminals will also be available in Riga, the capital of Latvia.
You can access your parcel in the contactless terminal without entering any codes. It is enough to scan the QR code received by SMS with the camera. During the pandemic, this function helps avoid contact with the surfaces of the terminal. Furthermore, it will reduce collection time from 30-45 to 3-5 seconds.
“One may say about the new parcel terminals that it’s too good to be true. Our team is very proud that Venipak has become a pioneer of contactless parcel terminals in Lithuania. Although the way the parcel terminals operate sounds incredible, there is no magic about it—everything is based on innovative solutions.”

Pick-up points in the Baltic countries
In recent years, Venipak has not only expanded its parcel terminal network, but also the network of its parcel pick-up points. The company has been actively initiating new partnerships with retail chains and entertainment and leisure centres.
“We are currently in close contact with a dozen partners. We provide access to our customers to over 200 pick-up points across the Baltic countries. Thanks to these pick-up points, customers can choose the most convenient place and time for collection of their parcels, e.g. on their way to work or home.”

Final note
2021 has just begun. It is a wonderful opportunity to keep one’s New Year’s resolutions—whether it comes to the desire of e-businesses to ease their burden and to cooperate more closely with parcel delivery service providers, or a goal to improve and provide the most convenient services, or ultimately one’s personal dream to start something new.
We hope that the 3 types of parcel deliveries discussed above will make you aware of the choices available to you. Meanwhile, businesses that have planned to devote more time to growth this year, but who have not yet assigned their parcel delivery side of operations to other parties, are always welcome to contact Venipak for a personal consultation regarding services for e-commerce.
