This notice explains how UAB Venipak Lietuva (hereinafter “Venipak”, “we”, or “us”) processes personal data through the use of CCTV (video surveillance) at our logistics terminals and fulfillment centers.

It applies to individuals who enter Venipak premises for business purposes, including visitors, contractors, external drivers, suppliers, service technicians, and other third parties (hereinafter “you”).

What is being recorded?

The CCTV system records video footage only – no audio. It may capture:

  • Your image and movement while entering or passing through monitored areas;
  • Vehicles, parcels, and activities related to logistics and delivery operations.

Cameras are installed only in areas where monitoring is necessary. In some terminals, designated cash-handling areas may be monitored for added security.

Signs are clearly displayed at entrances to inform you when you are entering a monitored zone.

Why is CCTV used?

We use CCTV to:

  • Protect people and property, including employees, visitors, and company-owned assets, by discouraging and detecting unauthorized activity;
  • Safeguard parcels and shipments from theft, loss, damage, or being sent to the wrong destination;
  • Collect evidence when investigating incidents and to support Venipak in defending its legal rights or the interests of others.

What is the legal basis for recording this data?

CCTV footage is processed based on Venipak legitimate interest (under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) in maintaining the security of our premises and resolving incidents that may arise in the course of business.

This interest is balanced with your rights by:

  • Placing cameras only in necessary areas;
  • Providing visible notice through signage;
  • Limiting access to footage and protecting it from misuse.

Do we share CCTV recordings with anyone?

Venipak does not routinely share CCTV recordings with third parties. However, footage may be provided to external parties only when legally justified, such as:

  • Law enforcement authorities, if there is a suspected crime (e.g., theft or trespassing);
  • Regulatory bodies, if required by law or part of a formal investigation;
  • Customers, but only in the form of still images showing parcels where individuals are anonymized or not identifiable – and only if necessary to clarify a shipment issue.

How long is the footage kept?

Recorded footage is stored for 30 calendar days, after which it is automatically deleted.

If an incident occurs – such as suspected theft, parcel damage, or a customer complaint – certain recordings may be kept longer than 30 days, but only for as long as needed to resolve the issue or meet legal obligations.

What are your rights?

If your image appears in CCTV recordings, you have the following rights under data protection law:

  • To know how your data is used. You have the right to be informed – this notice explains how surveillance works at Venipak, where cameras are placed, and why. Signage is also posted at all entry points.
  • To request access to the footage. If you believe you appear in a recording, you can request access to that footage, including a copy of the part that relates to you, where technically possible and where the rights of others are not affected. To help locate the relevant footage, we may ask you to provide details such as the date, approximate time, and location.
  • To ask for correction. If your personal data in the footage is misused or linked to incorrect assumptions (e.g., in an incident report), you may request correction or clarification.
  • To request deletion. If the footage is no longer needed or was used improperly, you can ask us to delete it – unless we need to keep it for legal or operational reasons (like resolving an active claim).
  • To object to the processing, if you believe your interests outweigh our legitimate grounds. We’ll review your request carefully and let you know the outcome, including our reasons if we are unable to fulfil it.
  • To file a complaint with a data protection authority. If you believe your data has been handled unfairly or your rights have not been respected, you have the right to contact the State Data Protection Inspectorate ([email protected], ada.lt) for further guidance or to submit a formal complaint.

If you would like to exercise any of your rights under this notice, please contact us at: [email protected].
