Looking at today’s parcel movement trends and given the surge in the number of parcels during the Black Friday period compared to the same period in 2020, we forecast that we will see a similar surge during the Christmas period. The number of parcels during the Black Friday period grew by about 34% in all three Baltic countries, therefore, our key objective today is to be prepared to process a similar growth in the number of parcels during the Christmas period, which has already started.
What we have done to prepare well:
- 30% bigger team. We have expanded our team by 30%. As a result, we have increased our parcel delivery to the same extent. This is to make sure that as the number of orders rises steeply, we will be able to carry out our deliveries in a timely and qualitative manner.
- Venipak Drive programme. To boost the efficiency of the parcel delivery process, we have launched the Venipak Drive programme; thanks to this programme drivers who are eager to earn some extra income are delivering some of our parcels.
- Mobile parcel collection points. We are ready to hand over parcels to recipients by offering additional mobile parcel collection points when all parcel self-service terminals and parcel collection points are full.
- Parcel delivery late evenings and on Saturdays. We are focusing all our effort and directing our capabilities to ensure that parcels reach their recipients as soon as possible, and if necessary, we will deliver in the evening after working hours and on Saturdays (if we do not manage to deliver parcels by the end of the week), (we will, of course, coordinate the delivery with recipients in advance).
- Expanded storage capacity. We have increased the area of our warehouses by 5,000 sqm over recent years, which allows us to process even bigger numbers of parcels.
- Self-service parcel terminals network. By the end of 2021, we will have expanded our network of self-service parcel terminals to 250 in Lithuania and 200 – in Latvia to contribute to a more user-friendly and convenient collection of parcels.

* We plan to deliver the majority of parcels before Christmas (24 December);
** We will transport for delivery but cannot guarantee that they all will reach their recipients before Christmas (24 December).
We urge everyone to plan their parcels as early as possible and hand them over for collection by couriers as the parcels that have been collected earliest will be delivered first.
Should the situation change significantly, we will notify you of any changes by separate notification.
