The international parcel company “Venipak” continues to strengthen its position in Western Europe – last year it acquired the Dutch e-commerce wholesaler Strengholt Entertainment BV has changed its name and will henceforth operate as Venipak Commerce.
The acquisition of this company was a strategic move that changed the logistics business model by adding new wholesale ecommerce channels and opened opportunities for the entire group of companies to expand internationally as an e-commerce platform and become a global a commercial market player.
A deal that opened the door to Western Europe
According to Justas Šablinskas, CEO of Venipak, the company has been focusing on the logistics and customer vertical for some time, and wanted to occupy a larger part of the trade chain than just logistics, so the Dutch e. the acquisition of a trading company was one of the most significant milestones of 2023.
“This deal has opened up about 4 million basket of goods and allowed to go far from the Baltic countries and Polish markets to Western Europe, to expand ecommerce channels and comprehensive ecommercial order fulfillment service. Concentration into ecommerce is also confirmed by the change that has taken place, after which company will continue to operate as “Venipak Commerce”, says J. Šablinskas.
He adds that both administrative and service activities are currently being synergized, and customers are already offered a full range of services on a one-stop basis – combining sales channels, logistics, and warehousing. “By ensuring the synergy and efficiency of these key processes, we remove an additional burden from the shoulders of customers, allow them to save money and concentrate on purposeful development without geographical or other ecommerce business process barriers”, says J. Šablinskas.
Opportunity to be closer to customers
Sabina Bačiulienė, Venipak Chief Business Development Officer, adds that this strategic move gives the Dutch company the opportunity to become part of an international group of companies and opens up interesting growth opportunities under the new brand.
“The compan which generated a turnover of almost 50 million EUR last year, is known for its top-quality products, reliable IT infrastructure and solid partnerships, but it seems that it has not yet created a model for international development. Using our long-term experience and knowledge, we will be able to fill this gap in international development and ensure that high-quality goods will be closer to customers and reach them faster,” says S. Bačiulienė.
Although the trading name of the Dutch company has changed, the legal name of the company will remain Strengholt Entertainment BV. The company’s obligations to its customers will not change.
The international parcel company “Venipak” has offices in the Baltic States, Poland, the Netherlands and a network of partners that ensures the smooth movement of goods around the world. The company provides services of delivery of parcels to the door (last-mile delivery) or to parcel lockers and pick-up points. The company also offers a comprehensive e-fulfillment service to different size businesses with global ambitions – from warehousing, distribution, sorting to order collection, packaging and delivery at the same time opening new sales channels.
In the Baltic countries, the company manages a network of more than 600 parcel lockers, thus ensuring extremely fast delivery of parcels. The company employs more than 1,000 employees, has more than 7,000 customers worldwide and manages 70,000 square meters of warehouse space.
